LCA Job Opportunity: Community Health Worker | Promotor/a de Salud Comunitaria

Our Community Health Worker (CHW) will join our Healthy Families Team to support OHP
enrollment and health resource navigation, ensuring Latine families can access healthcare services.
You will answer questions, enroll eligible clients in OHP, and share community resources to help
clients access services and opportunities. Responsibilities include OHP navigation and enrollment
assistance and community outreach and engagement. Additional duties include regular
communication with LCA staff, reporting to the Healthy Families Coordinator, collaborating with
community partners, and using our online database and state web portal. Special training will be
provided. This role is regional, and requires travel to Bend, Redmond, Madras, and Prineville.

Compensation

Compensation is $20 per hour. This position is part-time, 20 hours/week (0.5 FTE), with planned
increase to full-time (40 hrs/week) in Fall 2024. Work schedule is somewhat flexible, but requires
regular day, evening and occasional weekend work. Work-related mileage will be compensated
according to the regional or county prevailing rate. This does not include mileage between work and
home.
