Yolanda Alicia CDs now available ~ Purchases support our Covid-19 Relief Fund
Singer Yolanda Alicia shares songs of heritage.
As a daughter of Mexican immigrants, Yolanda has a passion for sharing the culture, traditions and music of Mexico. It has been her life-long work as a bilingual teacher, volunteer and, now, a doting abuela (grandmother). Most recently she was honored to perform with local musicians, Miguel de Alonso and Billy Mickleson, during the past three Dia de los Muertos celebrations at the Downtown Bend Library. Yolanda is also passionate about singing as a member of the international organization, Threshold Choir (thresholdchoir.org). These wonderful choirs sing for those for whom music can be a healing balm. She has recently established a local chapter in Bend. The Heart of Oregon Threshold Singers are now volunteers for Partners In Care.
Yolanda will sing songs featured on her CD, ¿Dónde Andarás?, which she created as a tribute to her parents and the music they loved. It features beautiful songs from Mexico, Venezuela, Cuba and Peru, as well as a few Bossa pieces from Brazil. (yolandaalicia.com)

La cantante Yolanda Alicia comparte canciones de herencia.
Como hija de inmigrantes mexicanos, Yolanda siente pasión por compartir la cultura, las tradiciones y la música de México. Ha sido su trabajo de toda la vida como maestra bilingüe, voluntaria y, ahora, abuela cariñosa. Más recientemente, tuvo el honor de actuar con los músicos locales, Miguel de Alonso y Billy Mickleson, durante las últimas tres celebraciones del Día de los Muertos en Deschutes Public Library. Yolanda también está apasionada del canto como miembro de la organización internacional, Threshold Choir (thresholdchoir.org). Estos maravillosos coros cantan para aquellos quienes la música puede ser un remedio curativo. Recientemente ha establecido un capítulo local en Bend.
