Agencies offer financial aid to Latino and immigrant businesses
Small Latino and immigrant-owned businesses in Central Oregon can now apply for financial help to stay afloat during the COVID-19 emergency. In partnership, the Latino Community Association and Central Oregon Intergovernmental Council (COIC) will distribute $25,000 in funds awarded by the Oregon Community Foundation’s Oregon Small Business Stabilization Fund. LCA is already offering financial relief to families who have lost income and do not qualify for federal stimulus funds.
The grant program will launch on May 5 and accept applications through 5 p.m. on May 15, 2020. This local pot of funds is open to businesses owned by Latinos and immigrants in Jefferson, Deschutes, or Crook counties. Each business can receive up to $2,500.
Pequeños negocios con propietarios Latinos o Inmigrantes en Oregon Central pueden aplicar ya para recibir ayuda financiera y mantenerse a flote durante la emergencia de Covid-19. En colaboración, La Asociación de la Comunidad Latina y El Consejo Intergubernamental de Oregon Central (COIC siglas en Ingles) distribuirán $25,000 en fondos otorgados por La Fundación de La Comunidad de Oregon a través de la Ley de Estabilización de Pequeños Negocios. LCA ya esta ofreciendo alivio financiero a familias que han perdido ingresos y no califican para los fondos del paquete de estimulo.
El programa de becas se lanzará el 5 de Mayo y aceptará aplicaciones hasta las 5 p.m. del 15 de Mayo de 2020. Esta bolsa de fondos locales esta abierta a propietarios de negocios Latinos e Inmigrantes en los condados de Jefferson, Crook y Deschutes. Cada negocio puede recibir hasta $2,500.
